Support
Intervale is a free interval timer for iPhone and Apple Watch. You build workouts from your own exercises, each with its own work and rest time, and run them for as many rounds as you like. Audio cues and haptics mark each change, and the timer keeps going with the screen locked.
Getting help
If something isn't working or you have an idea for the app, email support@intervale.app.
If you're reporting a problem, please include your iPhone or Apple Watch model, its iOS or watchOS version, and the app version.
Common questions
I can't hear the cues.
Check that Sound is on in the app's settings and that your volume is up. The cues play even when the ringer switch is on silent.
Where are my workouts stored?
Only on your iPhone and Apple Watch. If you delete the app, your timers and history are deleted with it. Workouts you saved to Apple Health stay in Health.
How do I use Intervale on Apple Watch?
The Watch app installs with the iPhone app. Create a timer on your iPhone and it appears on the Watch, then tap it to start. The Watch taps your wrist at every change, even with your wrist down, and finished sessions show up in History on your iPhone. If a timer is missing, open Intervale on both devices and keep them close for a moment.
How does Apple Health work?
It's optional. Turn it on in Intervale's settings under Apple Health, or allow it when you first start a timer. Each finished run of a minute or more is saved as a workout, using the type you pick for that timer, or as mindful minutes. On Apple Watch it records your heart rate and active calories and counts towards your Activity rings. On iPhone, calories are estimated from your weight in Health. Runs under a minute aren't saved. To change access later, open the Health app, tap your profile, then Apps, then Intervale.
Can I start a timer with Siri?
Yes, on iPhone and Apple Watch. Say “Start Leg day rehab in Intervale”, using the name of any of your timers, or “Start a timer in Intervale” and Siri will ask which one. “What timers do I have in Intervale” reads your list. The same actions are in the Shortcuts app, so you can add a timer to an automation or your Home Screen.
Does it work on a foldable iPhone or iPad?
Yes on iPhone Duo. Opened out sideways, your timers and the editor sit side by side, and the running timer shows the steps still to come. There's no iPad version yet.
Does it cost anything?
No. There are no adverts, subscriptions or in-app purchases.
